Just to set the records straight, other tribes by default were taught by the British to hate the Igbos. By Igbos, I mean anyone from old Eastern region of Nigeria. I acknowledge there are so many nations within that geographical enclave, like Ijaw, Efik, Ibibio, Igala, Itsekiri, Egede etc. But one should not ignore that whenever there is pogrom in Northern and Western Nigeria, we are profiled as Igbos and what follows is a massacre of our people from these ethnic nationalities.
The word Igbo if not for the resilience of our people had almost become an abominable word in the contraption, to the extent that most of our people are almost denying their “Igboness”, because of the hatred they experience from their so-called "fellow Nigerians" before the advent of IPOB.
It took the British 30 years to gain entrance into our territory, yes, our fathers rejected them and fought them using the bravery of Ekumeku warriors.
The British was actually afraid of the intelligence of Igbo people. And true to their fear, Nnamdi Azikiwe after graduation, established a media outfit known as "The Pilot" using this Media outfit, he started championing the independence of African states from the colonial masters. This alone is the reason why we can never be in the good books of Britain. They hate us;
a. They see Igbos as potential threat to their economic haemorrhage of Nigeria as the most intelligent black people.
b. They see Igbos as the only ones with the capacity of uniting other ethnic nationalities, which is against the British divide-and-rule tactics.
c. With a well-structured Nigeria, Igbos has the capacity of elevating Nigeria to the status of an industrialised country. This is not what the Europeans wished for us, because, we have the abundant raw material they need for their own industries, and they see Africa as their market, dumping ground of their technology and destinations to their industrial waste.
The 1966 coup was organised by young military officers from all the regions of Nigeria. Check out their names;
1. Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu (Igbo)
2. Major Adewale Ademoyega (Yoruba) author of "Why we struck"
3. Capt. G. Adeleke (Yoruba)
4. Maj. Ifeajuna (Igbo)
5. Lt. Fola Oyewole (Yoruba) author of "The reluctant rebel"
6. Lt. R. Egbiko (Esan)
7. Lt. Tijani Katsina (Hausa/Fulani)
8. Lt. O. Olafemiyan (Yoruba)
9. Capt. Gibson Jalo (Bali)
10. Capt. Swanton (Middle Belt)
11. Lt. Hope Harris Eghagha (Urhobo)
12. Lt. Dag Warribor (Ijaw)
13. 2nd Lt. Saleh Dambo (Hausa)
14. 2nd Lt. John Atom Kpera (Tiv).
This particular coup was later tagged an Igbo coup by the British, using their propaganda megaphone; BBC Hausa service. This triggered the pogrom and massacre of Igbos in the Northern and Western Nigeria. The same pogrom snowballed into the three years Biafra genocide, orchestrated by Britain and her foreign allies using their puppets Yakubu Gowon, Obafemi Awolowo etc.
Some Yorubas were taught by their parents from childhood to hate and disassociate themselves from Igbos. The Yorubas having media preponderance, use their media outfits to fuel hate speech and hate action against the Igbo people.
Burning and looting of Igbo business in the North is a normal occurrence and none has been prosecuted for killing an Igbo man in this carnage.
Mr. Peter Obi, a man who contested election as a presidential candidate of Labour Party, all hell was let loose. 15 months after the election which was decided by the judiciary, Mr. Peter Obi has not been forgiven by the Yorubas and Tinubu's shoe-shiners like Ononuga and Reno Omokri. They talk and write more about Peter Obi more than their President, even wrongly linking him to #Hunger #EndBadGovernment protest.
Before I conclude, I have few questions to ask.
1. As an individual of an ethnic nationality in the contraption who was taught to hate the Igbo people, what actually is the crime of Igbo people to your tribe?
2. Which other ethnic group has moved on to promote national integration and coexistence between other ethnic nationalities more than the Igbo people?
3. Who are the ones promoting peace and development in Nigeria?
4. Who are the ones promoting hate action in Nigeria?
In conclusion, we are hated for nothing, that is why our quest for Biafra Restoration is a divine project and is sealed with the blood of over 6 million Biafrans murdered during the Biafra genocide of 1967-1970.
Biafra will be declared and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
As an IPOB member We are not afraid of death, we are chosen by Elohim to give our all, to restore Biafra. We died the same day we were born in this British contraption.
