Bitter Leaf is very bitter, but we cannot ignore its nutritious and medicinal values. So is the truth we present on this platform.
It is obvious there is hunger in the land, both in Biafraland and other parts of Nigeria. It has gotten to a point that in some parts of Nigeria, it is no longer safe to convey food items in big truck from one destination to another without being apprehended by angry hungry mobs. We have records of protest in different parts of Nigeria but in Biafraland there is no single protest, why?
Is it that we are not hungry? The answer is No. We are more hungry than other people, but in our hunger and rejection by the central government of Muhammadu Buhari APC that referred to us as 5%ers and even warned us not to expect much from him as our vote is only 5% of total vote cast for him.
We have learnt to be strong in hard times, knowing well that "hard time doesn’t last but though people do"
I remember in one of posts 3 years ago with the caption "Biafra Food Security ". I admonished our people to go back and embrace mechanise farming as that is the only way out of this impending doom that is about to engulf our people.
Investing in Real Estate is good but a hungry man cannot renew his house rent in an estate. Chukwu Okike has blessed our people with fertile land, I don't know why our politicians and business moguls are not cashing in on this great opportunity to invest in Agriculture.
Biafraland can feed the whole of Africa if we have the right leaders in leadership positions, not drunkards, gluttons, greedy and lascivious politicians.
Hunger was one of the tools that was used to commit genocide against our people. 53years after the Biafra genocide, we should be wise enough to toe the line of Agro-Economy in order to provide food and employment for our teeming population.
Country like Israel that live in desert areas is world's supplier of fruits but Biafra land that is blessed with vegetation is waiting for the Northern part of Nigeria to buy Beans, Tomatoes, Carrot, onions, yam, water melon etc. What an irony.
As we are turning every piece of available land in Biafraland to Real Estate / Industrial Estate, let us remember that a hungry man cannot be trusted for a very long time.
Late Ajaani Obiligbo in one of his songs said " Oyibo kalili madu mana aguu kalili oyibo."
Biafra food security is the way to go as we earnestly fight for our freedom and exit from the British contraption.
