One of the worst crimes committed against our people is the removal of our artefacts from our land to a foreign land. Britain stole our artefacts almost all the master piece artwork by our ancestors were carted away by the foreigners. Let us see the reasons for their thievery and robbery of our artefacts and antiquities.
1. TOTAL CONQUEST: The Europeans discovered that our ancestors were far well advanced in spirituality, technology, medicine, astrology, astronomy and metaphysics. They preserved some of the secrets of their knowledge and power in rock paintings and wood carvings. The same white people that hypocritically demonised these artefacts later stole them, and today they are comfortably kept in British museum.
They took them away to disconnect us from our ancestors and our past. So, we can easily accept slavery as people without a history, people who don't know they were born Prince and Princess, people whose ancestors walked with Chukwu Okike.
2. FINANCIAL GAIN: As wretched as Britain were, they needed to generate money through her tourism sector. So, they now have our artefacts in their custody generating billions of pounds for them annually.
3. SPIRITUAL POWER: Our ancestors were highly spiritual in all their activities, they consulted the Supreme being Chukwu Okike (the creator) before taking major decision that affects the community. The sculptures of great Igbo men and women were seen by the atheist Europeans as having some spiritual powers, so they stole them to explore and exploit those powers for their own use.
BATTLE FOR SUPREMACY: In the middle age and even up to 17th century, bravery denotes invasion and carting away your enemies' treasures including her precious artefacts.
This battle for supremacy is not yet over. This time, Britain is using her stooge; the marauding Fulani militia and religious extremists, to terrorise every indigenous community into submission in the name of one Nigeria. As the communities are running helter-skelter for safety, British ruling cabal and their criminal Nigeria politicians are smiling to the Banks by stealing our natural resources and looting the treasury dry.
Over 50years after Biafra genocide masterminded by Britain using her timid house boy; Yakubu Gowon, Britain has used her ill-gotten wealth from Biafra land to sweep the issue of Biafran genocide under her slippery carpet. But as long as the sun rises from East; many nations will fall and many will rise because of Biafra Restoration.
As we remember the heroes and heroines of Biafra declaration by our eternal leader; Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu on 30th May 1967, those who fought gallantly to defend the holy land of Biafra against Britain and her foreign allies, against Nigeria and Arab countries like Egypt, Saudi Arabia etc, let us pray that their spirit of bravery will possess us all, as we match into our holy land Biafra, soonest.
