Bitter leaf is bitter but we cannot ignore its nutritious and medicinal values. The same is the truth we present on this platform.
When the Innocent girl Deborah Samuel was murdered by religious extremists who equally were her fellow students for allegedly committing blasphemy against Islamic religion. The Presidential candidate of PDP Alhaji Atiku Abubakar rushed immediately to his Twitter handle to condemn the barbaric acts of the students but he was very quick to delete his tweet when they threatened to deny him votes during the 2023 presidential election. Many Christians condemned the action of Atiku and called him a religious bigot and extremist.
Now many Igbos were molested out of the polling units in Lagos state during the presidential and gubernatorial election. Some Igbos lost their shops as aftermath of failure of Ahmed Bola Tinubu's APC to win Lagos state.
In all these vexations and unprovoked physical attacks of ndi Igbo and the social media attacks and mudslinging by Yorubas elites who are claiming ownership of Lagos to fuel more xenophobic attack against ndi Igbo in Lagos, no single Daddy G.O. Arch Bishop, Aladura, or prophet or clergy of Yoruba extraction has spoken against this disgraceful raging inferno against innocent Igbo people. It got so bad that even Yorubas who were misjudged to be Igbos were prevented from voting.
They have all in their usual way gone mute, because it affects ndi Igbo - the arch rivals of Yoruba people.
It got so bad that even some Yorubas whose mothers are of Igbo extraction were excluded from the Yoruba heirs claiming ownership of Lagos.
Where is Williams F. Kumuyi?
Where is Oyedepo?
Where is Adebayo to mention but a few?
Where are those telling you to go and get your PVC?
No religion, not even Christianity can stop the hatred and envy of ndi Igbo by the Yorubas until Biafra is restored.
Yorubas have always seen Omo Igbo as his rival even when ndi Igbo don't realise that they are target of hate and envy by other ethnic nationalities in Nigeria especially the Yorubas.
An Igbo adage says "he that is rejected cannot reject himself." We must accept the reality and then champion a way to wriggle out of this quagmire.
Time for Referendum is now, time to renegotiate over 100 years of forced union by Britain because, Igbos are at the verge of total extermination by Nigeria and Britain, using the biased ethnic nationality as willing tool.
