I am a proud Igbo man; I have no apology for that. In our tradition, every morning, our elders see it as a solemn duty to pray for the entire family with kola nut and pour libation on the ground as a respect to the ancestors to join in the communion. One important topic among the prayers they offer is the one that affects the wellbeing of their children; "Let Our Children Be Greater Than Us".
I need to point out these things, because we are living in an age where our people are being misled by foreigners and strangers, who teach that our ancestors are evil, abominable and good for nothing, and as a result we are under a curse, which they refer to as ancestral curse.
Now compare that to the present crop of Nigerian leaders, who have denied their children the opportunity to excel in different spheres of life. Elders who swear affidavit to falsify their age so as to remain in service even when their limbs could no longer carry them comfortably. Leaders who don't hesitate to shoot their children who wish to exercise their civic responsibilities of protesting against a corrupt system. Leaders who allow personal interest to overshadow their sense of patriotism, national interest and nationhood.
All these old hags, could only act relevance in a contraption where national assets are thrown to the highest bidder and loot from government treasury used to acquire illegal fire arms for terrorism and intimidation, in the Machiavellian maxim of "The End Justifies The Means."
Nigeria youth want to change the status quo, who wouldn't want a change of status quo? But you can never remove some bunch of armed old hag with your PVC.
You guys are talking about another EndSARS protest but I am seeing another Lekki Tollgate shooting should the youth carry placards if the PVC fail to deliver, since nobody has been jailed for the senseless shooting and no justice for the victims of last Lekki Tollgate Shooting. The same local and foreign media will collect money and change the narrative.
IPOB’s stand on peaceful and total dissolution of the rogue state created by Britain, through a referendum, is the only panacea to the myriads of problems besetting indigenous population. The other option will spell doom and spill much more blood.
