Nnamdi Kanu! He was right. He was perfectly right. He warned us and entreated. He pleaded and importuned. But all was disregarded. He was termed a jingoist. Some said he is an upstart. But repeated events have vindicated him.
Nnamdi Kanu was a lone voice in the wilderness. He said that hoodlums would invade our land and their brothers in power will shield them, nay, embolden them. It is happening. We are witnesses.
A few days ago, a Methodist Prelate together with his two colleagues was kidnapped along Enugu-Rivers Express Way. The kidnappers demanded 100 million Naira ramson. The ransom was paid and the victims regained their freedom.
After his release, Uche (for that is his name) has released a statement of what transpired. He alleged that the abductors are Fulani. He also said that some soldiers were close to the kidnappers during the operation but did nothing. It ostensibly shows that there is collusion between security agents and terrorists.
I knew if the IPOB had been fingered by the Prelate, some people on social media would have been writing articles against IPOB everything minute. But they are all silent. They are mute. Perhaps they have not heard. But their hatred won't do anything to IPOB.
A few years ago, General T. Y. Danjuma made the same allegation. A former deputy Governor of the CBN, Dr. Obadiah (lately deceased) made similar claims. They all said that security agents collude with terrorists, insurgents, and kidnappers.
We are verifying their assertion with the repeated events. The pious Prelate appears to be right. The kidnappers have been caught, and their leader speaks Igbo fluently. He was born in Igbo land. The truth is gradually coming out. Time unravels all mysteries.
Nnamdi Kanu spoke about all these. But nobody took him seriously. Repeated events have vindicated his predictions. Igbo land is under siege. A few days ago, a lawmaker was kidnapped, murdered and decapitated. His severed head was found on the road.
Without evidence, the children of anger pointed accusing fingers at IPOB. Even when governor Soludo placed 10 million Naira prize for anyone with information on the perpetrators of the barbaric deed, they never came forward with substantive evidence. After the revelations of the collusion of the soldiers, the Nigerian Army has responded.
They want to invite the Prelate for questioning. I knew it would come to this. They won't own up. Uche might be intimidated and compelled to retract his statement. But truth will always triumph over falsehood.
Nnamdi Kanu is a prophet. He saw all these. But nobody heeded his warning. Why? The answer is simple and clear. A prophet is without honour in his clan.
