In the whole of Nigeria, there is no other ethnic group that values human lives like the Igbo people. They will do their best to treat their sick and if the sick eventually dies, some go as far as selling properties just to bring home the corpse of their relative and it does not matter whether it is within Nigeria or the farthest part of the world.
Among the Igbos, there is no other group that has shown concern and value for human lives like IPOB. It was them they raised their voices to cry and to condemn the killing of Igbo youths by the security agents of Nigeria. They wrote letters to human right organizations and leaders to various nations in protest.
When the terrorist herdsmen came rampaging, killing, raping and maiming our people, while others cried crocodile tears and spoke fluent but useless English, it was IPOB that didn’t just stop there. They went further into action to ensure that their people are protected in their homes and in their farms. They cared about human lives enough to act and not just act but to risk their lives and in the process pay the ultimate price to protect lives.
About 3-5 million Biafrans died during the genocidal war waged against them by the Nigerian government with support from Britain and other western forces of darkness and wickedness. Most died not from the military might of the Nigerian side or even the war crimes Nigeria committed by bombing schools that serve as refugee camps and hospitals but from the cruel, evil and satanic food blockade they imposed on Biafra. None of the political leaders in the East cared enough about those lives lost to dedicate a day to the remembrance of our heroes’ past and all that died during that war. It was IPOB that deemed it fit not to treat our dead as if they are nothing and made a duty to remember them in special ways every year.
I don’t defend people’s excesses and it doesn’t matter who you are or which group is involved. If I see what is wrong, I cannot support it but if I see what is good, it is a moral duty that I have to support and defend it because good can never stand without evil trying so hard to destroy it.
The Nigerian state is doing all they can to blackmail IPOB and present them as the problem but if you have any intelligence, you will remember that the Nigerian security agents started doing their worst by killing IPOB members few years ago when they come out with flags and banners for peaceful protest.
So whatever trash the government of Nigeria is putting out now, is not because of what IPOB is doing at the moment but rather because of their hatred for IPOB from the beginning and also their hatred for the entire Biafrans.
They can hold newspapers and other news outlets at gunpoint and force them to write articles that even a goat won’t believe because that is the nature of Nigeria. She is an expert at terrorism towards her own people.
