Materialism has always been the bane of African politicians , they sneak into state house through coup d’état or through fraudulent election or selection, and find it difficult to relinquish power even after their tenure have elapsed or even when it is obvious they have lost the legitimacy of their people. Check out the political life of Mobutu, Odinga, Eyadema, Idi Amin, Babangida, Abacha, and Samuel Doe etc.
Today the Eastern Region politicians are caught up in what I may call self-inflicted political loneliness and dichotomy. They have chosen to place their selfish ambition above the general consensus of their people, for something as sublime as referendum, before a total dissolution of this British medieval fraud called Nigeria.
They all claim to be custodians of the historical antecedents of the genocidal war perpetrated against us, they all know that our life worth nothing to anyone in the contraption, including the international community. In fact, Biafrans life don't matter to anyone.
They feign ignorance of the killing of our people, the raping of our women by Fulani militias and the Nigeria security agents.
They know one Nigeria means perpetual slavery for our people, they also know our education, industriousness and intelligence as a people is bunkum in their utopian one indivisible Nigeria, but they can't let go of the people to have a referendum that will snowball into a total freedom for all, because these goons have accepted Nigeria and her political system as viable franchise to be maintained and serviced by the blood of Biafrans.
Today all the politicians in all the geo political zones in Nigeria are standing with their people including those who play host to four deadly terrorist groups; Miyetti Allah, Boko Haram, ISWA, Fulani militias and bandits. But the Eastern Region politicians are standing, not with their people, but with their slave masters, that they may have access to the crumbs from their master's table.
Only in Eastern Region do we have a serious disconnect between the people and those who claim to be the leaders.
As usual they will be used and dumped at appropriate time. For no wise person can use a saboteur as an intimate bed mate. The case of Adaka Boro and Ken Saro Wiwa should not be forgotten in a hurry, in our land.
Very soon the chicken will come home roosts and everyone will receive his or her reward according his or her deeds, those who treated their people as beast of burden, will unarguably be treated by their people, as beast of no nation.
Oh Come all ye faithful!
